Enable Travel Celebrates World Disability Day!
Did you know, about 1 billion people across the world live with a disability? This so called minor community makes for about 15 per cent of our global population. And this is why in 1981, the United Nations proclaimed December 3rd as World Disability Day to promote awareness on the challenges faced by the disabled people.
We at Enable Travel take the opportunity to encourage society’s role in speeding up the eradication of barriers in terms of inclusiveness, equality, participation and more. And we do this with events like Travel Tales, where people exchange interesting stories, enjoy drinks and meet new people, and by hosting two consecutive accessible bowling events in Bangalore. In its own way, we are doing our bit to encourage conversations about disability and bringing the tribe together to overcome barriers.
Enable Travel, India’s first digital platform for accessible travel, believes everyone deserves to experience the pleasures that travel brings to life. Your disability does not have to put a wedge in your travel plans; it cannot stop you from wandering in the wild, enjoying the sweeping coasts, or uncovering the architectural wonders across the world. Enable Travel brings you closer to the world, with the belief that everything is possible if you have the #CanDo spirit.
This World Disability Day, Enable Experiences invites you to an evening dedicated to iconic cine characters. If you love movies, dress up in your favourite filmy character and join us for a fun evening at Hard Rock Café, Andheri West on December 3rd, 6 pm onwards.
Share your favourite filmy moment, it could be a dialogue, a song or a funny scene on YouTube, or just join us and have a good time. Early birds also win free tickets to the upcoming movie Zero, sponsored by PVR.
